Maraen's current organization record states that Port of Nigg is owned and operated jointly by Mitsui & Co. Europe and Mitsui O.S.K. Lines following the 2025 acquisition. The port describes more than 1,200 metres of deep-water quayside at 12 metres LAT, heavy-load capacity, extensive laydown and fabrication space, and delivery roles across offshore wind and other energy sectors. The current Eastern Inner Dock Quay record shows the port acting as investor, client, and future operator for an awarded heavy-quay package linked to cable export. The owner and operating roles remain separate from McLaughlin & Harvey's construction role, Highlands and Islands Enterprise's grant role, Sumitomo Electric's adjacent manufacturing role and project developers' use of the facility.
