Role in marine infrastructure
Miri Port Authority is the owner and operating counterparty for the Kuala Baram Delta access-channel project. It runs the port at Kuala Baram and is responsible for turning the dredged channel, training bunds, navigation aids and traffic controls into an operating access system. The Rivers Board and Marine Department retain navigation-risk and regulatory interfaces; the Rimbun Prima and CCCC Malaysia joint venture remains the named construction delivery party.
