Rijkswaterstaat announces 5.5m m3 at Den Helder
Rijkswaterstaat announced 5.5 million m3 of tidal-channel nourishment at Den Helder from 14 July to mid-October 2026 under Boskalis contract 31205035. The same notice schedules Julianadorp sinker-pipe removal from 20 July, while vessel identity, measured production and acceptance remain unpublished.
Owner notice sets the Den Helder work window
Rijkswaterstaat's 7 July notice establishes the announced Den Helder and Julianadorp work windows. TenderNed establishes Boskalis, the signed value and contract period. The final bestek establishes package quantities and pipe dimensions. None of those records publishes measured output, a named vessel or acceptance.
Tidal-channel placement concentrates marine production risk
Den Helder is the only package in the three-contract Kustlijnzorg family with a dedicated current-work notice. Its 5.5 million m3 tidal-channel fill dominates the North Holland contract volume and requires bottom discharge or rainbowing, hydrographic control and safe navigation near a dynamic coastal channel. The Julianadorp pipe-removal package adds a separate lifting, transport and disposal interface.
Evidence conclusion
Measured output and vessel identity remain open
Boskalis is the signed EUR 26.098 million main contractor and the issued design fixes the 5.5 million m3 Den Helder scope. The owner notice establishes the intended field window rather than a production certificate. Commercial confirmation now depends on the assigned hopper dredger, baseline survey, daily or weekly production, the pipe-removal spread and owner acceptance for each work package.
Outstanding evidence
- Assigned Boskalis hopper dredger and support craft
- Hydrographic baseline and production measurement method
- Daily or weekly placed volume through mid-October
- Julianadorp pipe lifting and disposal route
- Completion survey, package acceptance and any extension
