Birdon's AUD31.9m Parks Victoria contract leaves campaign allocation open
Buying for Victoria names Birdon on a current AUD 31.9 million maintenance-dredging contract. Parks Victoria separately reports a 2018-2027 owner programme and 206,201 m3 removed in 2022-23; neither record attributes every campaign or cubic metre to Birdon.
A named supplier now sits against the public procurement record
Buying for Victoria identifies the supplier, reference, value basis, start and current status. Parks Victoria describes the programme, its port-management role, owner outcomes and the current campaign method. Birdon's corporate material states its relationship to the programme and describes its dredging capability and fleet. A campaign-specific record is still needed to name Birdon against a workfront and close the quantity, plant and acceptance record.
A contract row and an owner programme answer different questions
Port Phillip and Western Port require recurring depth-triggered dredging, navigation controls, pipelines, support vessels and beach placement across multiple local-port sites. Commercial tracking fails if a portal total is treated as final spend, an owner programme period as the supplier term, or aggregate owner production as contractor output.

Birdon is the confirmed supplier on ITS2-00160, whose Buying for Victoria row displays a fixed-value AUD 31.9 million total, 1 November 2021 start and Current status. Parks Victoria's 2022-23 report confirms 16 mobilisations at seven sites and 206,201 m3 removed, while its November 2025 Portarlington update confirms ongoing depth-triggered delivery and a one-to-two-week campaign. Parks Victoria does not name Birdon against those specific movements. Signature, contract end, call-offs, plant, subcontractors, accepted quantities and final account remain open.
