Qatar's Public Works Authority, known as Ashghal, plans, procures and delivers infrastructure and public-building projects for the state. At Hamad Port's food-security terminal, it is the owner-side delivery and oversight body reviewing construction, technical installation, remaining work and operational readiness. AlJaber Engineering retains the design-and-build role, while the terminal's eventual operator and sustained cargo performance remain separate evidence questions.
This public profile is a maintained directory record, not an endorsement, ranking, procurement recommendation, partnership confirmation, or claim of current availability. The evidence-review date records when IMWO checked the profile's public sources; it is not an organization event date. Use the profile for market mapping and research, then carry out separate technical, legal, and commercial diligence.
Review publication method Open directory guide Submit a correctionAshghal's official overview establishes its planning, procurement, construction, delivery and infrastructure-asset remit. Its June 2026 Hamad Port release identifies the authority as the owner-side body overseeing a project reported at 98%, while also stating that remaining implementation stages and operational-readiness plans were still under review. The Ministry of Transport's 2017 release assigns the design-and-build contract to AlJaber Engineering. The 2022 equipment vessel proves berth access and crane delivery, not integrated commodity handling or whole-terminal acceptance. The inspection image shows a project warehouse interior; it does not establish storage commissioning, operator handover, first food cargo or sustained service. No reviewed source names Ashghal as the future terminal operator.
