CVM's official profile states that the organization has operated since 1971 and provides hydrographic and bathymetric studies, dredging, navigation marking, and maritime pilotage on the Democratic Republic of the Congo's maritime access route. Its December 2023 operating record describes a 30-day FATSHI dredging campaign that opened a new navigation pass. The same record reports a maintained 26-foot draught for traffic serving Banana, Boma and Matadi. Those performance statements are CVM's dated operational account, not independent verification or a standing channel guarantee. Royal IHC's March 2026 announcement identifies CVM as buyer of a customised, approximately 3,300-cubic-metre Easydredge 2700XL for Congo River navigability and Boma-Matadi access. Royal IHC holds design and integration responsibility, Nam Trieu in Vietnam will build the vessel, and the contract includes first-year maintenance, technical, crewing and training support. The profile separates CVM's survey, navigation-service, dredging-operator, fleet-owner, and client roles from Royal IHC's supplier and integrator role and the shipyard's construction role.
