Role in marine infrastructure

IPA S.A. holds the concession through 3 February 2062 for the Port of Igoumenitsa, the Sagiada and Plataria fishing shelters and Syvota marina; the port zone remains a Greek public asset. Its July 2025 regulation authorises port operations, infrastructure development and works awards. The annual report records voting rights of 67% for Igoumenitsa Port Holdings and 33% for HCAP. In 2025 the port handled 907,345 international and 2,133,042 domestic passengers, plus 216,024 international and 141,583 domestic truck movements. IPA coordinates the CEF-backed ALFION-INFRA programme for three freight and passenger OPS positions and a separate cruise-position study. HEDNO awarded the EUR 6.82 million contract for two 3 MVA and one 0.5 MVA systems; installation, energisation, vessel connection and acceptance remain unconfirmed.
