NYC Parks manages more than 30,000 acres, including over 5,000 properties and 14 miles of beaches across New York City. Its Capital Projects Division is the agency's design, procurement and construction arm, delivering work through design, procurement and construction phases. The Waterfronts and Marine Division operates and maintains agency marinas and boating facilities, manages the vessel fleet and on-water response, supports in-water capital construction and coordinates infrastructure across 165 linear miles of engineered and natural shoreline. At Hammond Cove, NYC Parks owns the Bronx's only marina and Capital Program Management procured the Hurricane Sandy reconstruction. The city hazard plan identifies bulkhead, dock and electrical reconstruction, and the January 2026 award notice names Empire Construction and Property Management Group at USD 4,583,648.
