Source basis

SUEZ's official desalination page describes 50 years of research and more than 260 desalination plants, with seawater pretreatment, reverse osmosis, and brine-recovery capabilities. Its Middle East page covers design, construction, and operation of water and wastewater facilities. The January 2025 Aqaba-Amman announcement confirms that Meridiam and SUEZ formed the project company under a 30-year concession to finance, construct, and operate the desalination and conveyance infrastructure. The project record separately tracks financial close and the Aqaba intake-outfall interface. The record does not establish that SUEZ self-performs every marine construction package or that construction began before the programme's documented gates were cleared.
