Mahout's OMR 36.995 million award lacks a named contractor
Oman's Projects, Tenders and Local Content Authority approved an OMR 36,995,421.4 construction award for Mahout Fishing Port at its second meeting of 2026. Tender 62/2023/GSTB establishes an earlier procurement trail. The successful contractor, consultant, marine quantities, contract duration and notice-to-proceed date have yet to be disclosed publicly.
The project has crossed the award threshold
The Projects, Tenders and Local Content Authority publishes the OMR 36,995,421.4 award in its second 2026 meeting summary. Gulf Construction and GlobalTenders preserve the earlier tender identifier and procurement timing. Saudi Gulf Projects carries the same award decision. The available notices omit the successful bidder, marine scope quantities, consultant and mobilisation schedule.
The award value precedes the contractor identity
Mahout is a confirmed high-value award with almost no published package definition. Contractor identity and tender documents are required to map breakwaters, dredging, reclamation, quays, pontoons, buildings and equipment to actual buyers. Mobilisation cannot be inferred from the board approval alone.
Evidence conclusion
Contract disclosure is the immediate commercial milestone
The OMR 36.995 million approval places Mahout in the awarded pipeline. Gulf Construction and GlobalTenders connect it to tender 62/2023/GSTB, while Saudi Gulf Projects repeats the July 2026 decision. None names the successful bidder or gives a bill of marine quantities. A signed contract, authority notice or contractor announcement is needed before delivery roles can be attributed. Site preparation, equipment movement and consultant appointment will establish whether the project has entered active construction.
