Administracion Nacional de Puertos; July 2026 Montevideo campaign

Hang Jun 4018 has started a contracted three-stage campaign in Montevideo's inner port. The first work area is Darsena II and its berths; the anteport and Darsena Capurro follow. At the same time, ANP's own Draga 9 is back at work in the port and access channel after almost three years out of service.

Two dredging tracks are now active

ANP's 17 July notice supplies the contracted vessel, contractor, live first stage and three-area sequence. The 7 July notice supplies Draga 9's return and current public-fleet role. ANP's 7 April planning record identifies the 2018 LPI No. 20,428 award, an up-to-five-campaign structure and the 2025-29 budget split between public and contracted dredging. Uruguay Presidency independently confirms the contract's continuation, the 14-metre strategic target, Draga 9's recovery and the rounded USD 115 million administration-wide dredging programme. The public sources do not reproduce an executed contract linking all identifiers or disclose this campaign's quantity, call-off value, stage completion or achieved depth. ANP's dredging portal carries the area-specific bathymetric files needed for later acceptance evidence.

Each operating area closes separately

The two vessels do not make one interchangeable campaign. Shanghai Dredging Company's scope moves through named inner-port areas under Contract No. 2015, while Draga 9 belongs to the authority's public fleet and maintains the wider port and channel. ANP's April planning record adds the commercial frame: the open maintenance-and-correction contract was awarded in 2018 under LPI No. 20,428 for up to five campaigns, while the 2025-29 plan separates USD 62.99 million for public-fleet work from USD 51.92 million for contracted dredging. Those programme figures classify the delivery route; they do not price the July campaign.

Evidence conclusion

Bathymetry will define completed work

Darsena II closes only when its berth areas have measured quantities and accepted post-dredge soundings. The contracted sequence then has to show the move to the anteport and the start in Capurro. Draga 9 should be tracked by access-channel reach, production and achieved depth. ANP already publishes bathymetric files by basin and channel section, so later survey updates can show which parts of the programme have actually reached operating depth.

Outstanding evidence

  • Darsena II and berth-area completion
  • Hang Jun 4018 move to the anteport
  • Start and completion of Darsena Capurro
  • Measured quantities and disposal records by stage
  • Post-dredge bathymetry and operating-depth acceptance
  • Draga 9 access-channel reach and production
