HME Construction is dredging Redwood City Channel with DB Seahorse, two dump scows and two tugs. The Coast Guard's July notice puts the work on a 24/7 schedule and names SF-11 and SF-DODS as the placement routes.

The contractor and plant are on the record

The Coast Guard notice confirms HME, DB Seahorse, two dump scows, tug Douglas, an ocean-going tug, the two placement sites and 24/7 operations from 8 to 30 July. USACE's separate boater notice names HME but uses an on-or-after-15-July start and tentative early-November completion. The 200,000-CY figure comes from the March district plan and remains an estimate rather than a final paid quantity.

Two disposal routes shape the scow cycle

USACE's March programme estimated about 200,000 cubic yards of clamshell dredging. Reaches 1 through 4A route to the Alcatraz Island site, while the outer reaches use the ocean site. That split affects tow distance, scow turnaround and production across the only commercial deep-draft harbor in southern San Francisco Bay.

Two official notices show different work windows

The Coast Guard notice is the clearest field record: it names the plant, route and a 8-30 July operating window. USACE's boater notice starts on or after 15 July and runs tentatively to early November. We are keeping those dates separate. The next notice should show whether the July window covered an initial reach or whether the wider programme has changed.
