Taweelah C public records stop at cooling-water-system review

Taweelah C's developer-side staffing now exposes two owner-review interfaces inside the 2.6 GW execution chain: cooling-water systems in mechanical and piping oversight, and existing-plant tie-ins, permits, surveys and commissioning in BOP management. Those role descriptions still do not identify a seawater intake, discharge route, pipeline, dredging, cofferdam or marine-civil package.

What changed

The July 2024 RFP, September 2025 bid update, 3 June 2026 award and PPA, 4 June EPC filing, Siemens package and 17 June execution meeting establish the procurement and whole-plant chain. Al Jomaih's hosted mechanical role, posted 19 December 2025 under the Taweelah C SPV department, names cooling-water-system knowledge, piping design oversight, testing and handover. Its BOP role, posted 25 June 2026, assigns owner-side management of the 2.6 GW EPC, existing-plant tie-ins, permits, surveys, studies and commissioning. These are project-specific staffing requirements, not controlled design or construction evidence; the postings also contain 2.4 GW and 2.6 GW wording that must not override the later 2.6 GW owner award. Seawater abstraction, outfall, discharge route, dredging, pipeline, cofferdam, shoreline and marine-civil packages are not defined. Adjacent and legacy Taweelah facilities remain context only.

Why it matters

The update narrows the watch from a generic coastal-location assumption to evidenced owner-side system and tie-in responsibilities. It still does not create a marine opportunity: suppliers need a controlled cooling basis, physical battery limits and package evidence before treating the interface as seawater or coastal work.
