Deendayal Port Authority is the statutory Board responsible for the Deendayal (Kandla) major port under India's Major Port Authorities Act 2021. The Authority administers Kandla on the Gulf of Kutch and the Offshore Oil Terminal at Vadinar; its current website publishes 261.10 MMTPA of capacity and says cargo exceeded 160 million tonnes in fiscal 2025-26. DPA is the public client for the Multipurpose Cargo Berth No. 17 DPR and the proposed Cargo Berths 1-6 upgrade. Berth 17 remains an owner-side design assignment to IIT Madras. The Berths 1-6 record remains an options, structural-assessment and procurement-preparation exercise: no expanded-consultant award, EPC tender, works contractor or construction mobilisation is verified.
