Role in marine infrastructure

The Norwegian Coastal Administration is the national agency for coastal management, maritime safety and emergency preparedness against acute pollution under Norway's Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries. Its transport, ports and fairways function manages, builds and operates physical maritime infrastructure. The current project portfolio spans fairway deepening and marking, fishing-port improvements, breakwaters, quay works and maintenance, with Husoy and Mo i Rana providing current examples of dredging, contaminated-sediment handling, land creation and active-port construction.
