Profile summary

Mumbai Port Authority runs the natural harbour, docks and marine services at Mumbai Port. For Tender E.47/2026 it is the employer and acceptance counterparty: the authority sets the three annual work fronts, traffic and disposal controls, survey basis and completion tests. The successful bidder will have to provide and operate the dredging spread; no contractor has been awarded for the new programme.

Source basis

The authority's introduction and harbour pages establish its port and operating geography. Its Marine Department manual assigns conservancy, navigational aids, dredging, pollution control, pilotage, port craft and VTS-related services to the port organization. The E.47/2026 tender places plant, manning, production and contractor performance with the successful bidder while Mumbai Port controls annual notices, working areas, vessel coordination, survey and completion interfaces. Corrigendum II moves bid close to 6 August 2026; it does not identify bidders, make an award, start the 45-day mobilisation clock or prove dredging. The gallery photograph shows routine cargo operations in the working port and is not evidence of the new dredging contract.
