Role in marine infrastructure
The PRTD-Mali Project Management Unit carries out day-to-day implementation of the World Bank-financed Mali Landscape Restoration Project P177041. The unit is attached to the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Environment, Sanitation and Sustainable Development, which retains implementing-agency and fiduciary responsibility. Its portfolio combines climate-smart landscape restoration and livelihoods work with physical investments including Niger River bank rehabilitation, quays, lateral canals and river dredging; at Mopti it is the owner-side project unit for the boat-quay access dredging and related local works.
