Texas navigation district formed in 1909 and responsible for the stewardship, maintenance, security, and improvement of the Sabine-Neches Waterway. SNND is the owner-side source and contracting authority for non-federal deepening packages, a federal cost-share partner to USACE, and the controlling source for package sequencing, usable-draft boundaries, anchorage works, waterway fees and operational coordination across a dense energy and military corridor.
