Aberdeen ties three dredging campaigns to owner surveys
Port of Aberdeen awarded Boskalis Westminster a three-year maintenance-dredging contract for annual campaigns in 2026, 2027 and 2028. The owner named Freeway and MTS Valour for the first campaign and described how its own hydrographic team sets volumes and programme before using interim surveys to guide safe completion.
A multi-year award still creates three separate completion events
Port of Aberdeen is the primary source for award, vessel allocation and survey workflow. Historical emergency dredging and licensing documents are treated only as operating context and do not prove current campaign scope or completion.
Survey evidence governs each annual campaign
The contract model gives continuity of contractor and plant access while preserving annual survey, licensing, quantity, disposal and acceptance gates. It also makes the owner survey team a central control point rather than an incidental support function.
Evidence conclusion
Award and physical acceptance remain separate
The contractor, first-campaign plant and survey workflow are confirmed. Contract value, annual cubic metres, work-area quantities, material destination, current licence terms and post-campaign bathymetry are not public. A planned March start therefore cannot be upgraded to completed dredging.
