Term-contract chronology
Bapco extends a five-year wharf-repair contract without exposing the work orders
Bahrain Tender Board's May 2021 report names Bahrain Maintenance and Diving Services on tender T17600(65), a BHD 2,489,690 five-year time contract for mechanical services across wharf structures and pipeline repair programmes. Its May 2026 report records a separate BHD 340,000 extension under the same tender and with the same contractor, without publishing duration, call-offs, asset locations or current progress.
One tender now has two separate award-side records
Tender Board lists two award-side records: BMDS, BHD 2,489,690 and a five-year time contract in May 2021, followed by a BHD 340,000 extension under the same tender in May 2026. Bapco supplies the current owner and operating context. Sitra Wharf is relevant context, not a confirmed sole asset boundary for T17600(65). The public record leaves extension duration, call-offs, locations, lower tiers, progress, completion, acceptance and final account undisclosed.
The extension leaves the delivery ledger closed
Time contracts can conceal many small work orders behind one prime award. The original award, extension action, individual call-offs and field acceptance answer different questions. A same-tender extension confirms commercial continuity with BMDS, but it does not identify which wharf or pipeline is being repaired, when work is called off, who supports delivery or whether any task is complete.
Evidence conclusion
Four evidence clocks must remain separate
The BHD 2,489,690 original award and BHD 340,000 extension are separate values; adding them would create a total that neither source states. The May report period-ends are observation dates, not legal award, signature or commencement dates. Physical delivery remains unproven until a work order, mobilisation record, progress certificate, test record or owner acceptance connects the framework-level award to an exact asset and date.
