AusTender records an AUD 183,041 emergency-remediation contract at Cascade Pier, awarded to GP Services Garry George Parsons. The separate AUD 10 million apron project later entered detailed design with Consult Marine, while the June 2026 draft ports strategy kept construction in a future staged pathway. Shared site, dates and policy context do not make the emergency contractor or design consultant the apron construction contractor.

The apron project now has a designer, but still no construction award

AusTender and the official OCDS release confirm CN4144507, GP Services, AUD 183,041, the limited-tender reason and the encoded contract period. The November 2025 ministerial release confirms Consult Marine's separate detailed-design role and the wider AUD 10 million apron objective. Norfolk Island Regional Council's December newsletter independently repeats the design stage, budget and consultant engagement and is the availability fallback when the ministerial host times out. The June 2026 draft strategy supplies scope and planning dates. The published chain has no emergency completion record, construction award or mobilisation evidence and never combines the packages.

Contract identity matters more than a shared pier name

Site-level searches can collapse several Cascade Pier interventions into one project: the 2016-2018 AUD 13 million extension and refurbishment, the April-June 2025 emergency contract, Consult Marine's detailed-design role and the AUD 10 million apron construction programme. That would misstate both firms' roles, double count value and turn planning dates into false procurement or field progress.
