Contractor Chain
Tectone narrows Jorf Lasfar's contractor chain to SOMAGEC SUD
Jorf Lasfar's multipurpose-terminal extension now has a visible design-to-construction chain. Tanger Med Engineering performed feasibility, manoeuvrability and preliminary design. Tectone later published the execution design for two block-quay extensions, a mooring dolphin and access bridge, naming its client as 'SOAMEGC SUD'. That printed name strongly points to marine contractor SOMAGEC SUD, but the Marsa Maroc award is still needed to confirm the legal entity and prime-contract role.
Execution design exposes a likely prime contractor
Tectone directly publishes the execution-design tasks and the printed client name 'SOAMEGC SUD'. SOMAGEC's corporate record confirms SOMAGEC SUD as a Moroccan marine-works company. Marsa Maroc and EBRD confirm that the Jorf civil package was launched and awarded, but their publications do not identify the award recipient. The contractor attribution therefore remains explicit and qualified rather than hidden or overstated.
Tectone identifies the structures and a spelling-qualified client
The Tectone record moves the project beyond a generic owner investment announcement. It identifies detailed structural tasks and the party commissioning execution design. The misspelled client field narrows the remaining award search, but promoting it to an unqualified award would overstate what the source proves.
Evidence conclusion
The owner award remains the missing prime-contract record
Tectone's execution-design record covers the 30.20-metre section at -12 m, the 50.40-metre section at -14 m, both capping arrangements, rear-beam extensions, the mooring dolphin and the 34.70-metre boatmen's bridge. Its printed client name, 'SOAMEGC SUD', is treated as a spelling-qualified reference to SOMAGEC SUD rather than proof of the Marsa Maroc prime award. The absent owner award leaves the legal entity, contract value and acceptance responsibility unresolved.
Outstanding evidence
- Marsa Maroc civil-works award and exact contractor legal name
- Correction of 'SOAMEGC SUD' to SOMAGEC SUD
- Tectone execution-design subcontract date and scope acceptance
- North and south block-quay construction progress
- Mooring dolphin and boatmen's bridge installation
- As-built levels, hydrographic release and structural acceptance
- Civil-contract value, variations and final account
