Dredging Strategy
Mumbai Port tenders three annual maintenance-dredging campaigns
Mumbai Port has put a three-year maintenance-dredging package out to bid at an estimated INR 281.70 crore. Each annual campaign carries a 24-week completion period and requires the nominated TSHD within 45 days. Assured-depth areas, measured near-wall work and DS1 disposal permissions will be accepted separately each year.
A three-year package is now out to bid
Mumbai Port's tender listing and Corrigendum VI move bid close to 24 August 2026 and schedule technical opening for 25 August, keeping the procurement open. The annual budget, January 2024 SOP, E.47/2023 register and T.47A/2017 register provide accounting, compliance and historical-contract context only. The official harbour chart shows channels, anchorages and dumping grounds but does not depict E.47/2026 execution.
Each campaign closes on its own survey
The contractor will maintain live navigation while moving between lump-sum depth obligations and measured work beside structures. Each campaign ends on hydrographic acceptance, so production, siltation, berth access and disposal records need to be reconciled annually rather than rolled into one three-year total.
Evidence conclusion
The tender remains open to 24 August
E.47/2026 remains at tender, with bid close moved to 24 August 2026 and technical opening scheduled for 25 August. The eventual award should identify the contractor, price, nominated plant and start window. Each annual cycle then needs its own pre-dredge survey, mobilisation, DS1 permissions, production record, post-dredge survey and completion certificate. The INR 65 crore budget line and INR 216.40 crore preceding award belong to different records.
