Port Delivery
Puerto Antioquia converts four trials into repeat vessel service
Puerto Antioquia; exact April 2025 STS delivery and marine-platform interface
Puerto Antioquia has passed all three operating gates: completed marine works, four controlled vessel trials and repeat commercial calls. The terminal opened on 5 February 2026 after trade-port authorisation, and its current ledger lists liner, refrigerated and breakbulk services continuing through July.
Repeat calls replace the planned opening date
The owner's January notice controls the four-vessel trial sequence, the February notice controls commercial opening and the current port-status register shows repeat calls. The project page defines COTEMA, Jan De Nul and MIIT. These records support operation, not a claim that every contract and defects item is closed.
Operating evidence closes the marine-delivery chain
A completed quay and a successful trial vessel do not prove a new port is commercially ready. Puerto Antioquia documents the missing sequence: Jan De Nul's accepted dredging, COTEMA's viaduct and platform, integrated operating trials, regulatory release and then recurring ship calls.
Evidence conclusion
Performance now matters more than completion percentage
The February 2026 opening supersedes the owner's earlier 2025 target. COTEMA remains the principal EPC, Jan De Nul the confirmed capital-dredging contractor and MIIT the bulk-area EPC. The live vessel ledger establishes service release; sustained throughput, berth productivity, final accounts, remaining equipment suppliers and residual defects work remain undisclosed.
Outstanding evidence
- Monthly throughput and service frequency by cargo type
- Berth productivity and vessel turnaround
- Viaduct and offshore-platform maintenance
- Maintenance-dredging demand after capital works
- Final EPC and bulk-package close-out
- Crane, controls and automation supplier disclosure
