Port Power Award
Tarifa EUR 273k award is not an OPS contract
VES Renewable won a EUR 273,030 electrical works award for Tarifa's fishing wharf, but the official design serves concession buildings through a 20 kV connection and 400 kVA transformer rather than a proven vessel shore-power system.
Award evidence names the prime and fixes the electrical baseline
PLACSP controls the award party, price, offer count and contract terms. Gabitel's approved execution project controls the 20 kV and 400 kVA utility design. APBA's 2024 report is used only to distinguish the separately named vessel-supply projects. No cited record proves contract signature, named subcontractors, mobilisation, energisation, berth outlets, vessel connection, OPS commissioning or operation as of 9 August 2026.
Utility distribution remains separate from vessel power
Port investment pipelines often contain grid reinforcement, tenant distribution and vessel shore power at the same location. APBA's own reporting lists separate Tarifa projects for the medium-voltage company network and for electrical supply points to vessels. Merging them would create a false installed-OPS record, obscure the actual VES Renewable award and misdirect supplier tracking.
Evidence conclusion
The design covers wharf-user distribution
PLACSP establishes VES Renewable as awardee after four offers at EUR 273,030.32 excluding VAT and sets a four-month term, with formalization due within 15 business days of notification. Gabitel's execution project specifies 357.07 kW of access, a 20 kV connection, 400 kVA transformer, MV cells, LV board, six sectionalising boxes and six protection boxes serving wharf buildings and services. It does not specify berth receptacles, cable-management systems, frequency conversion, ship interfaces or vessel commissioning. Subcontracting is allowed but no downstream party is named. The package therefore remains a utility-electrification award awaiting contract and setting-out, while the separate vessel-supply programme remains a distinct watch item.
Outstanding evidence
- Contract formalization and setting-out act
- Transformer, switchgear, cable and civil lower-tier appointments
- E-Distribucion approval, testing, transfer and energisation
- User-supply migration and reception evidence
- Tarifa berth-supply or OPS awards
- Vessel interface, first connection and operational acceptance
- Certified value, variations and final account
