Nui and Niutao now have public completion and handover evidence for two named climate-resilient boat-harbour assets. Records reviewed through 15 July 2026 document the February completion announcement for Nui and Niutao, the Niutao opening and the June 2024 Nui handover. They also identify the marine and landside assets and ADB's operation-and-maintenance capacity objective. Missing from the public file are current as-built surveys, service logs, weather cancellations, aid uptime, maintenance response, post-storm asset condition and independently measured user outcomes.
