ThPA's November 2025 contract places the Pier 6 expansion with a 70:30 METKA-TEKAL joint venture for EUR 195.6 million and 40 months. The first of 21 caissons was installed in July 2026. That milestone makes the new quay visible but leaves the rest of the caisson sequence, navigation dredging, terminal works and acceptance open.

The current contract replaces the 2022 award chain

ThPA's 2025 contract and 2026 caisson releases control the current record. METLEN confirms the joint-venture split. The tender basis defines dredging and geometry; the 2022 award is used only to prevent obsolete contractor attribution.

Contract identity and marine progress now align

A reader following the old Mytilineos-Rover Maritime-HDK award would identify the wrong current contractor. The new record establishes the controlling joint venture and separates a first caisson from all 21 units, completed dredging, accepted quay geometry and 24,000-TEU operating capability.
