The Daba fishing-port development was awarded to Al Sarouj Constructions for approximately OMR 40 million in June 2020. The scope includes two kilometres of breakwaters, a basin reported to 10 m below lowest tide, 930 m of fixed berths across fishing, tourism and commercial uses, 270 m of floating berths in total, a 190 m small-boat beach and shore infrastructure. A June 2024 owner-side update reported 75% overall progress, all concrete berths complete, the boat ramp operating and cargo vessels already calling.
