Fox Island River wharf remains a pre-award workfront
Fox Island River's 2026 channel-wall proposal is still an assessment-stage project. Its disclosed work covers marginal-wharf demolition and replacement, steel sheet piling, reinforced concrete, shoreline reinstatement, parking, a jib crane, lighting and an electrical shed, while procurement and delivery parties remain open.

IAAC publishes the assessment status, marginal-wharf scope and comment dates. Its separate notice documents the intended determination. DFO publishes the navigation registry and commercial-dock location. These sources disclose no tender, value, contractor, construction start or accepted completion.
Pre-award gates remain open after comments
The public-comment period ended on 22 June 2026, but that date appoints no contractor and releases no construction budget. Commercial visibility begins with the federal determination, issued design, tender reference and bid result before demolition, piling, concrete, crane, electrical or shoreline packages become addressable awards.
Evidence conclusion
Preserve the title and scope mismatch until tender
The IAAC title calls the project channel-wall reconstruction, while its detailed scope describes replacement of the northeastern marginal wharf. This naming split affects quantities, temporary works and bidder capability. DFO's navigation notice fixes registry 15065, NPP file 2026-217017 and the commercial-dock location, but it adds no value, programme or supplier. Marine Contractors and R.J.G Construction belong only to earlier Fox Island River packages unless a later award names them.
