Paranaguá channel concession starts from a 13.3-metre operating draft

Paranaguá's planned 1 August transfer changes the operator and tariff counterparty for the access system. The concessionaire portal publishes a 13.3-metre operating draft against a 15.5-metre target. Baseline bathymetry and the first concession-period dredging will establish how progress is measured.

The concession starts from 13.3 metres

ANTAQ defines the concession boundary, CAPEX, contract value, phased works, survey, dredging, berth, navigation-aid and Antonina transition duties. MPor documents the auction, homologation and signature sequence. Portos do Paraná gives the expected 1 August tariff transition and pre-handover maintenance context; DEME identifies the operating vehicle; and PPCC publishes the current operational baseline. Tariffs and dredging share one performance baseline

The 25-year concession bundles tariffs, annual and capital dredging, hydrography, berth access, navigation aids, traffic management, rock removal, disposal and service continuity. An accepted transition survey is needed before deeper draft or improved access can be credited to the new operator.

Operating transfer and baseline survey come first

The project remains at mobilisation until the owner, regulator or concessionaire confirms operating transfer. The first performance record should join baseline bathymetry, operating draft, tariff commencement, navigation-aid condition, disposal controls and accepted dredging results. The signed contract or approved PEAA also needs to reconcile ANTAQ's first-two-year VTS summary with PPCC's year-five label.
