Tunisia three-port access and dredged-material programme

Tunisia's HAICOP procurement record shows that OMMP published a second open tender for the dredging works on 12 June 2025 as one budget-funded maritime-works lot, with bids due and scheduled to open on 29 July 2025. The portal's later Complet status describes the procurement record and is not evidence that physical dredging is complete. Tunis Afrique Presse reported on 7 May 2026 that OMMP had signed a contract worth about TND 125 million for the three port complexes; that report does not establish the exact signing day or physical mobilisation. DEME's 3 June 2026 regulated release confirms the contractor and covers Sousse, Menzel-Bourguiba/Bizerte, and Rades/La Goulette, with DEME's share valued at up to EUR 50 million. The detailed release divides execution into containment-dike construction at Menzel-Bourguiba and Sousse followed by TSHD dredging at all three locations, with reclamation at Sousse and Menzel-Bourguiba, combined reclamation and offshore disposal for Bizerte material, and all Rades/La Goulette material pumped ashore. OMMP's 18 May notice and Tunisia's public-procurement portal separately document guidance, monitoring, and technical assistance for the same works.
