EtihadWE's development and investment arm signed the AED 1.046 billion EPC agreement for Fujairah I with NMDC Infra and Lantania Aguas on 7 May 2026. The 60 MIGD plant at the Port of Fujairah includes a submarine intake tower, two GRP intake pipelines, intake pumps and a GRP marine outfall sized for the full seawater abstraction volume. Marine interfaces
NMDC's civil and marine works must connect the offshore intake tower, twin intake lines, shoreline and intake pumping to Lantania's process system, then return concentrate and treated effluents through the marine outfall. Detailed survey, seabed and geotechnical data, pipe handling and jointing, landfall works, offshore installation, tie-ins, hydraulic testing, discharge performance and port-interface controls have not been published.
Commercial evidence boundary
The plant EPC is awarded, so the remaining market lies inside consortium procurement rather than a new owner-level EPC competition. Potential specialist demand may include marine survey and geotechnics, GRP supply and jointing, marine plant, landfall and pipeline installation, diving and survey support, environmental monitoring and hydraulic commissioning, but no subcontract awards or procurement packages are public yet.
