Grand Port Maritime de Dunkerque concluded a EUR 1,720,365 excluding-VAT contract with Baggerbedrijf de Boer B.V. to remove and replace the submerged sand-discharge line in front of the Braek dike. The tender required service by 31 May 2025, while public project records publish no physical completion or acceptance milestone. A 2018 predecessor award shows the same contractor installed a 1.5 km line intended to support annual nourishment of 0.5 million to 2 million m3.

The 2018 award exposes the infrastructure lineage

This small contract controls a recurring coastal-protection interface: maintenance-dredging sand must move from vessel and pumping system through a submerged line to the Braek frontage. The 2025 result identifies the prime, value, five bids and a winning variant. It does not identify the replacement geometry, marine spread, downstream suppliers, installed condition or return to service.

The 2018 BOAMP record defines the predecessor asset: a 1.5 km original line, an annual nourishment requirement of 0.5 million to 2 million m3, a EUR 1,097,589 award to the same contractor and a five-million-m3 guarantee reference. Those facts explain the operating purpose but cannot be transferred to the replacement design. The current status should remain at contracted award until dated removal, installation, test and owner-acceptance evidence is public.
