Fox Island River has three package clocks, not one

Fox Island River's current public chain contains a 2023 entrance-improvement award, a separate 2024 channel re-dredging award and a 2026 marginal-wharf proposal still in assessment. Each package has a different supplier or open supplier gate, scope and evidence clock.

A new wharf proposal followed two elapsed marine-contract windows

CanadaBuys controls the two completed administrative contract histories and awardee identities. The federal assessment registry controls the dredging planning basis and the separate 2026 marginal-wharf proposal. DFO's navigation notice corroborates the current worksite and commercial-dock classification. No cited source proves either earlier package was accepted, connects the later dredging to a defect, or appoints a 2026 contractor.

A harbour programme can be continuous without being one contract

Merging the three records would create several false conclusions: that Marine Contractors performed the later re-dredging, that R.J.G Construction holds the 2026 wharf work, that contract expiry proves accepted navigation depth, or that repeated dredging proves a defect in the earlier breakwater package. The public evidence supports none of those claims. Keeping the records linked but separate exposes the real upcoming opportunity in the 2026 wharf and channel-wall procurement.

Evidence conclusion

Scope, value and acceptance must be tracked on separate clocks

Marine Contractors' CW2330925 covers entrance excavation or dredging and a rubble-mound breakwater or groyne; CanadaBuys records a current total of CAD 1,499,255 after a CAD 110,055 increase and CAD 14,375 reduction. R.J.G Construction's 4500077474 is a distinct CAD 1,133,000 channel re-dredging contract. Impact Assessment Registry project 86125 publishes a planned 280-metre reach, -2.4-metre depth and 7,500-cubic-metre volume, but not an accepted result. The 2026 project then proposes demolition and replacement of the northeastern marginal wharf with steel sheet piles, reinforced concrete, parking, shoreline, crane and electrical work. Its comment period has closed, yet the determination, tender, value and contractor remain open. None of the published end dates is a completion certificate.
