Harwich Haven Authority named Suffolk Dredging LLP on a GBP 100 million excluding-VAT maintenance-dredging award covering Tiamat, conventional dredging, coastal beneficial use and early contractor involvement. The award scheduled signature for 17 April 2026, but the Find a Tender process page still has no contract-details notice and does not attribute later 2026 fleet activity to the LLP.

A new affiliated LLP holds the pending award

Find a Tender confirms the pending award and contract, supplier, GBP 100 million excluding-VAT value, scheduled 17 April 2026 signature, five-year base term, extension wording, scope and affiliated-entity rationale. Companies House confirms the LLP's incorporation and later HHA member and control filings. HHA controls the dredging baseline, Tiamat description, predecessor contractor allocation, BUDS project and 2026 vessel notices. A contract-details notice, reconciled extension fields and an LLP-attributed vessel campaign remain unpublished as of 5 August 2026.

The package combines operating dredging and technology development

The five-year base term covers a UK gateway serving vessels up to 17 m draft, and combines harbour, berth and approach-channel maintenance with Tiamat commercialisation, beneficial use and capital-project input. The supplier is a newly incorporated LLP described as majority-controlled by HHA and formed with Boskalis, making contract execution, member roles and fleet attribution commercially material.

Corporate formation has moved faster than contract disclosure

The award value, supplier, scope, affiliated-entity exemption and planned term are confirmed. Companies House also confirms that HHA entered Suffolk Dredging LLP and became a person with significant control on 29 April 2026. Neither source closes the contract-signature gate. HHA notices identify Gateway, Shoalway, Strandway, Magnor, MTS Valour and survey vessels during 2026, but none names Suffolk Dredging LLP as operator. The renewal fields also conflict: text allows one or two 24-month periods, while the maximum-extent date reaches only April 2033.
