USACE Buffalo awarded DMYLES a USD 11.7 million contract on 9 April 2026 for approximately 250,000 cubic yards from Cleveland Harbor's upper Cuyahoga River channel across two planned windows. Mobilisation, first-window production, measured quantity, placement split and completion are not confirmed.

The Port board awarded a USD 4 million extension project to Mark Haynes Construction to keep the current repository usable until CHEERS is ready. The award establishes a capacity intervention, not completed construction or unlimited placement capacity.

A separate prior-year DMYLES campaign was scheduled to start

USACE announced a USD 9 million 2025 contract for approximately 180,000 cubic yards from the lower Cuyahoga and CDF placement. USACE later reported 255,651 cubic yards removed in 2025; neither the earlier scope nor that result proves 2026 execution.

The Port documented a split sediment route

The Port reported approximately 50,000 cubic yards hydraulically placed into the SPMF for processing and beneficial use and approximately 150,000 cubic yards routed to a silt basin. A separate 20,000-cubic-yard Cleveland-Cliffs dock campaign is excluded from the federal-channel total.

The 14 April 2026 USACE release confirms the 9 April USD 11.7 million DMYLES award, approximately 250,000 cubic yards from the upper Cuyahoga, and planned 15 May-30 June and 1 October-30 November windows. It does not report mobilisation or first-window completion. USACE's January placement scoping evaluates limited open-water placement, CDF 12, the Port's SPMF, and littoral nourishment; scoping is not route approval. The October 2025 factsheet gives the 225,000-cubic-yard annual baseline and authorised channel geometry. Port records separately document the 2024 material split, the July 2025 SPMF extension award through 2029, and CHEERS as a design, permitting, and funding programme rather than available capacity. The prior 2025 DMYLES contract and its later-reported 255,651-cubic-yard result are historical performance context, not evidence for the 2026 package.
