Dubai Electricity and Water Authority reporting says the 180 MIGD Hassyan seawater reverse-osmosis independent water project was about 90% complete in January 2026 and that all phases were scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2027. DEWA's Q1 2026 results, published in May, confirm that the first 60 MIGD block had entered service and that a further 120 MIGD was expected during 2026. ACWA Power's project page identifies the 30-year BOO structure, Hassyan Water Company A, SIDEM and SEPCO III as the EPC consortium, and seawater intake and outfall systems as part of the facility. The project ESIA further confirms that ACWA Power's scope includes intake and outfall pipelines sized for the planned future 60 MIGD expansion, with the IWP outfall diffusers positioned close to the Hassyan power-plant diffusers after marine dispersion and environmental review.
