Gorée's active WACA ResIP package combines rock-armour protection, dike and breakwater work, wall and embankment stabilization, and heritage-compatible landscaping. WACA reported 82% overall completion as of 31 March 2026. The later World Bank project paper dated 25 June uses a different boundary: 85% for protection works and 75% when landscaping is included, while seeking EUR 3.5 million (US$4.0 million equivalent) and a 30 June 2027 close. Neither statement is owner-acceptance evidence.

The June paper says seven months of early rock-supply delay were resolved, but rough-sea stoppages, new wall and embankment risks, heritage validation, landscaping, and cost escalation still require a revised programme. Approval and effectiveness have not been independently confirmed.
