Port of Tanjung Pelepas is developing Berth Zero as a 360-metre marine and terminal expansion. PTP awarded the package to an MMC Engineering-Antara Koh joint venture in October 2025. - Contract route
- PTP awarded the Berth Zero development to the MMC Engineering-Antara Koh joint venture on 24 October 2025. Malaysia Marine Department circular 01/2026 then notified active Package 1 and Package 2 works and listed the working fleet from 10 January to 29 March 2026. The package is part of PTP's operator-funded capacity programme rather than a separate public concession.
- Execution window
- The civil award was announced in October 2025. Marine work vessels were active from January 2026 under Package 1 and Package 2 notices. PTP expects the four quay cranes to be commissioned by 2028 and targets approximately 16 million TEU annual capacity by 2029 across the wider port programme.
- Works package
- Carry out dredging and reclamation, construct a 360-metre new berth, prepare the adjoining container yard for electric RTGs and integrate four new quay cranes. The berth adds quay capacity to a terminal that handled 14 million TEU in 2025; the full 16 million TEU target depends on this and other equipment and productivity investments.
- Marine interfaces
- Dredging, reclamation, piling, berth deck, crane rails, yard formation, drainage, power and equipment delivery must be sequenced around an operating transshipment hub. The Marine Department's vessel list confirms in-water mobilisation but does not prove dredging quantities, berth geometry or package completion.
