Baltic Hub completed Poland's 36-hectare T3 deep-water terminal on an artificial platform at the Port of Gdansk. The Budimex-DEME consortium delivered the marine and civil works; DEME identifies dredging and reclamation as its scope, while Haskoning records engineering, investigations, tender support, construction supervision and project management. The 717-metre quay, 17.5-metre water depth, seven STS cranes and 20 remotely operated aRMG cranes add 1.5 million TEU of annual capacity. The terminal became fully operational in October 2025, although 2026 crane relocation and yard-line commissioning show that automation optimisation continued after marine completion.

Contract route
Baltic Hub appointed the Budimex-DEME consortium as general contractor and issued the order to commence work on 22 September 2022. Haskoning held the client-side engineering, procurement-support and construction-management role. Public completion acknowledgements name ZPMC, Kuenz and ABB in the handling-equipment chain. Contractor disclosures cite an investment of about EUR 450-470 million at different stages; these are project values, not an audited final account or a breakdown of every subcontract.
Execution window
The construction order was issued in September 2022 and site works began in late 2022. Baltic Hub inaugurated T3 on 6 June 2025, reports that it became fully operational at the beginning of October 2025 and declared construction officially complete on 17 November 2025. In June and July 2026 it continued relocating aRMG cranes and opening yard lines, an operating-system optimisation sequence rather than a reopening of the completed marine contract.
Works package
Create a 36-hectare artificial terminal platform through dredging and reclamation; build a 717-metre deep-water quay at 17.5 metres water depth; construct container yards, pavements, drainage, electrical and telecommunication networks, crane rails and support buildings; and install seven STS quay cranes plus 20 remotely operated aRMG yard cranes. Public sources report 4.3-4.37 million cubic metres of sand, more than 17,500 tonnes of steel and about 160,000 cubic metres of concrete.
Marine interfaces
The reclaimed platform, quay wall, fenders and bollards, dredged berth pocket, crane rails, power supply, stormwater systems and navigational access had to reach structural and operational acceptance before deep-sea calls could transition from testing to commercial handling. The 2026 aRMG moves affect yard flow and automated stacking, not the accepted 717-metre marine frontage.
Commercial evidence boundary
The principal chain is unusually transparent at consortium, specialist-dredging, engineer and equipment-supplier level. Remaining gaps are the allocation of individual quay-wall, piling, paving, electrical, rail, automation-software and commissioning subcontracts; the final account; and equipment-by-equipment acceptance dates. Operational evidence now matters more than construction percentage claims.

Baltic Hub released T3 yard line 7 for operations

The operator opened storage blocks X7 and Y7 after the aRMG relocation sequence, adding evidence of continuing automation ramp-up without changing the completed marine-works status.
