Central Coast Council's current Toukley concept keeps the seawater pump station beside the treatment site and sends a 2.4 km microtunnel to an intake about 1 km off Jenny Dixon Beach. Brine would use the existing Norah Head ocean outfall through a short connection.

Can Gio selects VIMC, Saigon Port and TiL for a 7.5 km berth programme

Ho Chi Minh City has approved Vietnam Maritime Corporation, Saigon Port and Terminal Investment Limited Holding as the investor for Can Gio International Transshipment Port. The plan covers about 571 hectares and 7.5 kilometres of main berths, with two to four berths in the initial stage and capacity for container ships up to 250,000 DWT.

Tuas Phase 2 advances from marine works toward terminal handover

MPA now puts Tuas Port Phase 2 reclamation at 79.5% as of December 2025. Its annual report said the first six completed berths were targeted for handover to PSA in March 2026, but it does not confirm that the handover occurred. Marine-civil acceptance, terminal readiness and berth commissioning remain separate gates.

JICA's April-June 2025 monitoring lists two different marine packages still in production at the end of the quarter. Package 5 was further ahead on sand fill, basin dredging and quay slabs; Package 6 had barely started its reported access-channel dredging measure and still had substantial reclamation and deck work open.
